Just seems like for the limited content it should be a lot more polished. I'm probably going to keep playing because none of this stuff destroys the game (except the audio issue - seriously Crytek get that shit sorted), but it's kind of disappointing how rushed the game feels, especially since there's only 15 levels for $30 and each level is 10 min or so. I get that FFR is necessary in a game like this but whether by design or not, this is the most abrasive implementation of it I've ever seen.

Normally I don't notice it much, but in the first city level for example, you can literally see a line within your field of view where the texture quality dramatically changes. On level completion screen, frame rate will drop to single digits for some reason. The first game focused on natural features located in a mostly static. Had one hard crash near the end of the first city level, losing my progress in the level thus far. The Climb 2 on Oculus Quest 2 is Crytek’s second pass at bringing solo climbing to virtual reality, and it’s a doozy.

It's incredibly unpleasant and definitely an issue with the game and not my headset (exiting the game solves the issue immediately). It fixes a lot of little issues with the original (chalking for sure) while greatly improving level design and showcasing some awesome new environments.īut the more I played the more I saw issue after issue pop up:Įvery time I play for more than 15 minutes, the audio starts cutting out and crackling like crazy.
